One place we love going is the Outlet Collection at Niagara. The majority of the stores here are dog-friendly and happily greet Angus when entering the stores. Angus is a favourite at the Lids location!
There is also a Bass Pro Shops which is dog friendly, however it is not located IN the outlet mall. Bass Pro Shops is located in the North-West parking area. Leons is located on the west side of Bass Pro Shops, however they are not dog friendly.
🔥 Why it’s great on hot or cold days:
- Protective canopy walkways let you enjoy an open-air feel while staying sheltered from sun or rain, and keep things cooler in summer and protected in winter.
- Well‑spaced single-level buildings make it easy to navigate regardless of temperature, and there’s plenty of shaded seating to relax between stores.
- Amenities like free Wi‑Fi, stroller/wheelchair rental, onsite tourism information, and food offerings ensure a comfortable experience no matter the season.
🐾 Dog-Friendly Policy:
Good news for pet parents—dogs are welcome at most stores (look for dog-friendly stickers on the windows that say Dog Friendly Shopping). While the food court and eating areas remain off-limits to pets, leashed dogs or those in carriers/strollers are generally allowed inside retail shops as long as the owner maintains control at all times.
🛍️ Tips & Highlights:
- Ideal for visitors from Toronto, the US border or across Niagara; there’s a free VIP Discount Card for out-of-town guests available at Guest Services—or bring proof of residence and pick one up for extra savings.
- If you’re visiting in warm seasons, take advantage of outdoor events like Friday food trucks or summer markets; in colder months the canopies and retail warmth make for cozy browsing.
- Planning a group tour? Register 48 hours ahead to enjoy perks like a sheltered drop‑off zone, motorcoach parking and exclusive group discounts.
✅ Summary:
Outlet Collection at Niagara combines a vast selection of brands, weather-smart design, and pet-friendly access in a scenic location. It’s perfect for a cool escape from the heat or a comfortable outing in the cold, and a treat if you want to bring your pup along while shopping.
Please make sure if you’re bringing your furry friends you are a responsible pet owner – Don’t leave your pets in the car; pick up after your dog and dispose of in garbage bins; bring water if it’s hot out for your pup to drink; and have your pup wear proper winter gear (boots and/or sweaters if needed) in the cold! Oh, and Angus says “Don’t forget the treats! Us dogs are always on our best behaviour if we get treats?”
